I like Hellebores.  I do not love them. They are fantastic in  a woodland garden. Hellebores bloom early hence the common name of Lenten Rose.  They are deer resistant which is perfect for my garden.  They are evergreen. They have beautiful amazing flowers BUT... these amazing flowers face downward.  All the beauty is very hard to see.  To take these photos I had to lay on the ground and point the camera up.  This makes them a like and not love plant for me.
