Hydrangea: Dutch Lady series Unknown cultivar

         Early Spring: Leucojum vernum  Snowflakes 

I remembered to plant bulbs in the fall. One of the tiny tiny bulbs that I planted was, Leucojum vernum, the SPRING SNOWFLAKE.  This very delicate flower is the first thing to bloom in the spring.  I thought I was planting snowdrops but these are  actually a different flower.  The tiny green dots on each of the petals set them apart from the snow drop. 

 

The weather has been very difficult this winter.  We got snow and ice in January and then two weeks later it was 80 degrees. This switch from cold to warm has caused a lot of the spring flowers to come out early.  It has gotten cold again but these small white flowers are sticking it out.
